VIRTUAL STUDIO TOUR - CLICK ON ANY ROOM |
ABOUT THE STUDIO Melbourne’s Eastern Bloc Studios has five sonically varied recording areas allowing tracking large bands “live” with isolation between instruments, as well as offering the choice of recording in dead, reflective or large high-ceilinged rooms - or any combination of these (even the stairwell gets used as a classic Bonham reverberation chamber).
Analogue equipment includes a restored MCI 500 vintage console, two inch analogue tape machines, stereo EMT tube plate reverb, tape delays, and a range of analogue effects. The microphone collection features tube, ribbon, dynamic and condenser microphones from the Fifties through to present.
Located in Melbourne’s inner-eastern Hawthorn, there’s plenty to eat and drink, with near-by accommodation, and both train and tram stops less than a block away. |
